We have received an update from NSW Health that directly affects our staff who live in Fairfield LGA and Canterbury-Bankstown LGA. Canterbury-Bankstown LGA is an area of high concern and staff who live in this area are now under the same restrictions as those who live in Fairfield LGA, as reported in the last update. This means that any staff members who live in these area will not be permitted to work at any Fresh Hope Care Residential Care service from 23 July 2021 unless they have received a negative COVID-19 result within the past 72 hours. Fresh Hope Care will ensure compliance with Public Health orders.

There are also new close, casual or monitor for symptoms locations in both Greater Sydney and Regional NSW (including Orange and Goulburn). Please check this link so you are aware.

All other restrictions will remain in place under further notice. This includes the exclusion of visitors at all Residential Care Services in Greater Sydney (including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour). At Fresh Hope Care this applies to Ashwood Residential Care Service, Alexander Campbell House and McCauley Lodge.

Residents should only leave the Residential Care service for essential reasons (e.g. medical appointments). If they do need to leave the service, staff will provide appropriate PPE and infection control advice.

Visitors performing essential caring functions may be allowed to visit, providing they wear a surgical mask while onsite, only see the resident in their room and have met all other screening requirements. Please contact the site Manager to discuss.

Fresh Hope Care has arrangements in place to support families to stay in touch with your loved ones, especially when you are unable to see them in person. We can offer video calling devices to residents and encourage you to take advantage of this option to maintain relationships while visit restrictions are in place.
