We have been notified by NSW Health that all Residential Care Services in NSW must exclude visitors until at least 11:59pm Wednesday 23 December. This may be extended and the advice is changing rapidly. We encourage you to regularly visit the NSW Health website to check the latest advice and areas of active community transmission.

Staff and visitors performing essential caring functions are exempt from these restrictions providing they wear a surgical mask while onsite and have not been to any locations on the self-isolate and get tested immediately list, at the times and dates listed and on the monitor for symptoms list, at the times and dates listed except where noted otherwise. In addition they must not have a fever or any symptoms of COVID-19, be a close contact of a person with confirmed COVID-19 or live in a household with a person who is identified as a close contact of a person with confirmed COVID-19. Visitors may also be exempt in exceptional circumstances.

Whilst visit restrictions are in place and especially being so close to Christmas, is it important to maintain relationships through phone calls or Zoom. Fresh Hope Care can offer video calling devices to residents and encourage you to take advantage of this option. To arrange this and book a time, please contact the Site Manager/Director of Nursing.

We will endeavour to keep you informed of changes to the directions to the Aged Care Sector as soon as they occur.

Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to myself or the Site Manager/Director of Nursing concerned.

Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding of the restrictions that are being put in place to best protect your love ones at this challenging time.
