Living Care Green Hills fete was held on Saturday 29th April. After having to postpone due to bad weather earlier in the month, many were feeling blessed to have woken up on Saturday to a beaming sun and clear blue skies.

Members of the community, staff and families joined in to help set up and make sure the day ran smoothly. Lots of people arrived early to avoid missing out on the delicious cakes for sale at the Devonshire Tea stall.

The trash and treasure stall was also a hit, with many finding unique items to take home. There were also plants for sale, including some in trendy homemade pots. Other stalls included make-up, skincare, clothing, bath accessories, cards and show bags. When it came time for lunch, few could resist the smell of the sausage sizzle! Entertainment included a brass band and a clown (aka staff member, Trevor).

It was a fun day out for everyone involved and $3000 was raised, which will go towards the purchase of care equipment, which will allow for the care of higher needs residents experiencing complex health issues focusing on dementia and loss of mobility. Thank you to everyone for your help and donations!
